Prerequisites: A Manicure qualification. A Manicure Certificate is required to take this course which we can also provide.
Kit: Not included.
 
This course is designed to teach you the structure of the skin, client preparation and aftercare advice. Also it will teach you how to safely use, apply, maintain and store you gel nail product and UV lamp. The pre course information was provided to you prior to your course date to allow optimum time perfecting the skills required to be able to be informed before prep, application, maintenance and removal. However if any questions arise from the pre course information they will be addressed during your course.
 
Gel overlays allow clients to enjoy glamorous nails in less than an hour. In these modern times a vast array of techniques and product are widely available which may be used to provide this service. As these products are so readily available it does allow for members of the general public to purchase and apply nail overlays themselves. Not many can apply these successfully as knowledge and skill held by a nail technician is paramount. Product knowledge is key, as the products used are harmful if in the wrong hands. Becoming a nail technician is a continual learning experience.
